Higgins Clark, Grippando to Speak at Authors Luncheon

ATLANTA – Thirteen national and regional authors, including best selling writers Carol Higgins Clark and James Grippando, will be featured at the 13th annual Mercer University Authors Luncheon. Scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 16, at The Swissotel in Buckhead, the event begins at 10:30 a.m. with a reception and book signing, followed by lunch and speakers at noon.

The luncheon benefits Mercer University Press. Bob and Ruth West Wells of Atlanta are co-chairs of the host committee. Mercer alumnus, King & Spalding attorney and author Robert L. Steed will serve as master of ceremonies. Ticket prices are $125 per person, and tables of 10 are available for $1,250. Five of the authors will speak at the luncheon: Higgins Clark, author of Jinxed, which tells how sleuth Regan Reilly takes on the case of the missing wedding guest; Grippando, author of Beyond Suspicion, the tale of how Miami lawyer Jack Swyteck is set up for the murder of his ex-girlfriend; Jeanne Braselton, author of A False Sense of Well Being, a darkly comic novel of a woman at the crossroads in her life; Arnold M. Ludwig, author of King of the Mountain: The Nature of Political Leadership, an insightful study of why people want to rule; and Frank T. Hollon, author of The God File, the story of a man wrongfully imprisoned for murder, who searches for evidence of God.
