Mercer to Hold Free Community Health Fair

ATLANTA–Mercer University’s Southern School of Pharmacy, School of Medicine and Georgia Baptist College of Nursing will hold a free community health fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, in the Sheffield Center on the University’s Cecil B. Day Graduate and Professional Campus, 3001 Mercer University Dr., just inside Atlanta’s northeast perimeter.

Students will provide screenings for blood pressure, blood glucose, osteoporosis and cholesterol. Participants can also bring their current prescription, non-prescription and herbal drugs for review and consultation. Information will be given on poison prevention, substance abuse, ovarian cancer, breast cancer and AIDS.

All screening participants must be 18 years or older.

Children’s activities will be provided, including an inflatable moonwalk and climbing wall. Georgia Clean Air Campaign’s Better Air “Bair” will make a special appearance.
