The Association of Women Law Students (A.W.L.S.) at Mercer Law School will host the 5th annual Charity Auction and Ball Thursday, March 27, 7-11 p.m., at The Cupola at Plantation Centre.
All proceeds will be donated to "In Our Best Interest," a battered women's center in Baldwin County, and the Macon Rescue Mission.
The Charity Auction will feature law professor Chris Wells as the celebrity auctioneer. A new addition this year includes the band Big Johnson and the Criminals, comprised of Mercer Law students, providing entertainment.
A.W.L.S. has set a goal to exceed the $10,000 raised at last year's event. Organizers feel there are many unique items for bidding.
Tickets are $17 per person, in advance, or $20 at the door.
