Entering its 24th year, The Executive Forum provides business professionals with an opportunity to hear nationally noted speakers on business trends while networking with other business leaders.

In his presentation titled “A Daily Briefing: An Insider’s Look at Today’s Current Events,” the former White House press secretary will offer a candid look at current events in Washington, D.C., and around the world.

During his presentation, Fleischer uses the same signature mix of humor and gravitas that made him one of the nation’s most beloved White House press secretaries. He also touches on his relationship with the press and how the media’s perspective can affect national policy.
As press secretary and assistant to President George W. Bush, Fleischer delivered daily White House briefings from 2001 to 2003 and served as the primary spokesperson for President Bush during such trying times as the Sept. 11 attacks and the anthrax scares.

Prior to his role as White House press secretary, Fleischer was the senior communications advisor and spokesman for the Bush-Cheney presidential campaign. He also served as the spokesman and communications director for Elizabeth Dole’s presidential campaign.

In 1994, Fleischer was hired by the House Committee on Ways and Means to serve as communications director. He was the House of Representatives’ principal staff spokesperson on issues related to taxes, Medicare, Social Security, welfare and international trade.

The Pound Ridge, N.Y., native served as press secretary to New Mexico Sen. Pete Dominici from 1989 to 1994. Before that, he served as press secretary to two members of Congress from New York and worked on several political campaigns.

Fleischer is now president of his own firm, Ari Fleischer Communications. He resides in Washington, D.C.
