ATLANTA, Ga.—Southern School of Pharmacy student Robert Scott Tomerlin of Louisville, Ky., was recently chosen to serve on the Student Regional Council (SRC) for the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA). He is one of eight students chosen from 45 NCPA student chapters across the nation.
Tomerlin, a third-year doctor of pharmacy student, will serve on SRC for a two-year term. In the first year, he will act as a liaison between NCPA chapters at schools of pharmacy and the national headquarters of NCPA. In the second year, he will serve as a member of the Student Leadership Council, the national student executive committee for NCPA.
Last fall, Tomerlin also received the J.C. and Rheba Cobb Memorial Scholarship from the NCPA Foundation. He is the son of Robert and Mary Tomerlin of Louisville, Ky.
With more than 100 years of experience, the Southern School of Pharmacy is a recognized leader in pharmacy education. Receiving a record 1,822 applicants for this fall, the School has the highest applicant to student ratio in the nation.
