MACON, Ga. – The Mercer Athletics Department’s annual “Big Auction” is set for May 27 at the University Center.
The “Big Auction” is a fund-raiser for Mercer athletics and has hundreds of items available, varying from a pickup truck to a weekend of Atlanta Braves baseball to sports memorabilia.
There is also a silent auction, which features some of the most delicious treats in Macon.
“Every year this event gets better and better,” said Mercer athletics director Bobby Pope. “This year we have some great items available, especially in the sports memorabilia where we have autographed baseballs by several major leaguers and Hall of Famers Harmon Killerbrew and Don Sutton.”
The “Big Auction” is set to begin at Noon with the silent auction. The live auction starts at 7:30 p.m. at the University Center.
