Macon–Mercer University’s Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics will hold a free MBA and Executive MBA information session on Tuesday, June 22. The program will be from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Trustee Board Room in the University Center on the Macon campus.

Participants will have an opportunity to meet with faculty and learn more about Mercer’s MBA program taught on the Macon campus and the Executive MBA (EMBA) program, which will be offered at the University’s new Regional Academic Center in Henry County, approximately 40 minutes north of Macon, beginning January 2005.

With its focus on ethical leadership and problem-solving skills, Mercer’s MBA program in Macon enables students to apply their knowledge to the demands of their careers and to the realities of the workplace, giving them a competitive edge in the business world. The two-year, evening program is tailored to meet the needs of individuals already employed as managers, as well as persons preparing for advancement into middle-management or administrative levels.

Currently offered on Mercer’s Atlanta Campus, the Executive MBA program is designed for business professionals with at least seven years of work experience.  The program focuses on the growing international competition that managers face, while providing them the knowledge and know-how to become global in perspective, improve the total quality of their companies, maximize ethical standards and implement effective leadership. EMBA students attend class every other weekend on Friday evenings and all-day Saturdays for 21 months. A 10-day international trip to global corporations and organizations to meet with executives and discuss business issues and trends is part of the curriculum.

The Stetson School of Business and Economics holds accreditation from the prestigious AACSB International-The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, considered the hallmark of excellence among the nation’s top business schools. Only 418 business schools out of more than 1,500 in the United States have received this accreditation that recognizes that they meet the highest standards in business education.
