Ticket to Big Dance Makes Great Valentine’s Gift

Looking for that special gift for your favorite Valentine? Treat your Valentine to a ticket to the 20th Annual Mercer University Big Dance, sponsored by Riverside Ford.
 
This year’s Big Dance, featuring three of the best “oldies” groups in the South, will be held Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at the Macon Centreplex. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the music begins at 7:30 p.m.
 
The 2005 featured groups include: The Tams, known for their great 70s hits of “I’ve Been Hurt,” “What Kind of Fool,” and “Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy;” The Drifters, whose top tunes included “There Goes My Baby,” “This Magic Moment,” “I Count The Tears,” “Save the Last Dance for Me,” and “Some Kind of Wonderful;’ and “middle Georgia’s favorite party band,” The Grapevine.
 
Tables of eight are $180 or individual tickets are available for $25 each. Attendees can bring their own food and beverages and create their own dining/dancing experience.
