Larry Hall, an MBA student at Mercer University’s Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics, this month was named Student of the Year for the 2004-2005 academic year by the Georgia Association of Healthcare Executives.

Hall, 33, said the award is reflection of the quality of the MBA program at Mercer University.

“Through associations such as these, Mercer University and the Stetson School of Business will continue to gain additional exposure to prospective students,” Hall said.

Hall is a senior contracting coordinator for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. His career plans include healthcare strategic planning and business development, service-line operations, and hospital administration.

The Georgia Association of Healthcare Executives is the state chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (www.ache.org), an international professional society of 30,000 healthcare executives who work at hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations. Hall was named Student of the Year at the Georgia Association of Healthcare Executives’ annual breakfast meeting in February.

Hall is president of the student chapter of American College of Healthcare Executives at Mercer University. The student chapter develops educational and professional programs to encourage innovation and foster excellence in health care management by providing students opportunities to network with healthcare executives in the metro Atlanta area, Hall said.
