Nancy Grace to Speak at 16th Authors Luncheon

ATLANTA – Twenty-four national and regional authors, including the popular host of CNN Headline News’ legal analysis program, Nancy Grace, will be featured at the 16th annual Mercer University Press Authors Luncheon. Scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel at the Cobb Galleria, the event begins at 10:30 a.m. with a reception and book signing, followed by lunch and speakers at 11:45 a.m.

Richard (Doc) and Helen Schneider of Atlanta are co-chairs of the host committee. Author Robert L. Steed will serve as master of ceremonies. Six of the authors will speak at the luncheon: Nancy Grace, author of Objection! How High-Priced Attorneys, Celebrity Defendants and a 24/7 Media Have Hijacked Our Criminal Justice System; James Rollins, author of Map of Bones, the tale of ex-Special Forces soldiers searching for bones of the biblical Magi stolen from a German cathedral; William R. Scaife and William H. Bragg, co-authors of Joe Brown’s Pets: The Georgia Militia, 1982-1865, a definitive history of the Georgia Militia during the Civil War; Steven Watts, author of The People’s Tycoon: Henry Ford and the American Century, an insightful biography on one of the nation’s industrial pioneers; and Karen Spears Zacharias, author of Hero Mama, a memoir of what happened to her family in the aftermath of her father’s death in Vietnam.
