MACON, Ga.- A total of 60 Mercer University student-athletes in seven fall and winter sports earned Academic All-Conference accolades as recently announced by the Atlantic Sun Conference.
Leading the way with the highest percentage was women’s cross-country, with more than 71 percent earning all-academic status, followed closely by the volleyball squad, with more than 69 percent gaining recognition.
To be named A-Sun All-Academic, a student-athlete must achieve a 3.0 or higher in the classroom during their semester of competition. The sports sponsored by the 11 conference members are cross-country, soccer, volleyball, basketball, tennis, golf, softball, baseball, indoor and outdoor track & field. Mercer does not sponsor indoor and outdoor track & field, but does sponsor air rifle.
