Athletic Department’s ‘Big Auction’ Today at UC

MACON, Ga.- Mercer’s 18th annual “Big Auction,” to benefit the Bears’ athletic program, will be held today at the University Center.
 
Silent items will be up for bid from noon until 7 p.m., with live items going on the block at 7:30 p.m. There is no admission charge and refreshments will be provided this year for those in attendance.
 
Numerous outstanding items will be up for bid, including trips to Puerto Rico, Mexico, Disney World, Hilton Head and a week-long stay at a Vermont chalet. Sports memorabilia like footballs signed by Denver Broncos’ tight end Wesley Duke and Vince Dooley, and a framed and matted autographed photo of Packers’ legend Brett Favre. An autographed photo of Dominique Wilkins will also be part of the live auction. The silent auction features items such as ticket packages to selected Braves’, Falcons’ and Hawks’ games and rounds of golf at nationally-recognized courses throughout the Southeast.
