WHO: Mercer University President William D. Underwood
WHAT: July 3 will be Mr. Underwood’s first official day “on the job” as the president of Mercer University. Some faculty, staff and students will be on hand to greet Mr. Underwood and be available for photo shoots with the new president. Mr. Underwood will hold a news conference immediately following in the Tift-Lee Board Room.
WHEN: Monday, July 3, 2006, 10:30 a.m.
WHERE: Tift-Lee Board Room in the R. Kirby Godsey Administration Building, Macon Campus, off Coleman Avenue across from Tattnall Square Park.
WHY: President Underwood will address the media and answer questions on his first business day in the President’s Office. Underwood is succeeding R. Kirby Godsey, who served as the University’s president for 27 years.
