The Mercer men’s and women’s basketball teams are featured today on the Atlantic Sun Conference’s Web site. The A-Sun has been running a feature titled “10 Days of A-Sun Basketball” since Oct. 16 that features coaches’ remarks, season preview, team page, roster, schedule and statistics on each of the conference schools.
The feature series began on Oct. 16, featuring Belmont, who was then followed by Campbell, ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb and the Bears. Teams remaining to be featured are UNF on Thursday and Stetson on Friday.
The Mercer women will first hit the court in an exhibition game on Nov. 7 against Georgia College and State University at the University Center and then play their first regular season game on Nov. 10 at Georgia Tech.
The men will host GC&SU on Thursday, Nov. 9, in the Coaches vs. Cancer exhibition game and then begin the season on Sunday, Nov. 12, at the University of Wisconsin, rated number 7 in the country in pre-season rankings.
