MACON — If you plan to make earning a college degree one of your New Year’s resolutions, now is the time to take action. Mercer University’s Macon Regional Academic Center will hold a free information session on Monday, Nov. 4, regarding its spring academic session for adult learners, which begins in January.
The information session will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the W.G. Lee Alumni House, located on the corner of Coleman Avenue and College Street. Academic advisors, professors and admissions counselors will be available to answer questions and discuss programs.
Designed for adults learners who want to earn a bachelor’s degree, the Center’s evening and weekend programs offer once-a-week classes in eight-week sessions, providing the flexibility needed to fit into busy work and family schedules. Financial aid is available for students who attend half time or more.
Three of the University’s 11 schools and colleges have undergraduate degree programs at the Macon Center. The Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics offers a bachelor of business administration degree. Tift College of Education provides initial certification in early childhood/special education and middle grades, as well as a bachelor of science in education degree in those specialties. The College of Continuing and Professional Studies has undergraduate degree programs in criminal justice, human services, information systems and liberal studies.
