WHO: Mercer administrators, faculty and staff will be on the Macon campus
ready to move boxes, refrigerators and anything else the arriving entering
students are bringing to start their college life.
WHAT: First-year students arrive on campus to move into their housing.
WHEN: 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Aug. 18
WHERE: Mercer’s Macon campus at the residence halls and the move-in tent at Connell Student Center, off College Street.
WHY: An annual event anticipated by the University and Macon community, Move-in Day promises to be a touching and emotional time in the life of new Mercer students, who officially begin their college experience on Saturday, and their families. As part of Mercer’s tradition of personal attention and service, faculty and staff help unload cars and trucks as part of the special welcome to the University. The first-year students begin orientation Saturday afternoon.
