McDONOUGH, Ga. — Mercer University’s Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics, which was recently recognized No. 1 for “Greatest Opportunity for Women” and one of the “Best 290 Business Schools” by the Princeton Review, will hold an information session for its 16-month Professional MBA program at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12. The event will be held in the Hudgins Room at the Henry County Chamber of Commerce, 1709 Highway 20 West in McDonough.
Mercer’s Professional MBA in Henry County is for individuals with at least four years of experience, who want to advance their careers in today’s corporate world.
A distinct feature of the Professional MBA program is its cross-functional, thematically based courses. This interdisciplinary Professional MBA curriculum demonstrates how the various business functions interact, so candidates can gain the broad perspective needed for effective decision making. Because all candidates are experienced professionals, the classroom becomes an interactive-learning environment with each individual contributing his or her experience to the dialogue with the highly credentialed faculty team.
Classes are held on Friday afternoons and all day Saturday every two weeks, allowing even the busiest professional the opportunity to earn this prestigious degree from an internationally accredited business school. Four retreats provide a concentrated study on specific business topics, including a weeklong Best Practices Field Residency, where students meet with top executives of companies successfully competing in today’s global market.
