Newt Gingrich to Speak at Executive Forum in Macon and Atlanta on April 10

ATLANTA/MACON — Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich will be the featured speaker at Mercer University’s Executive Forum Presented by BB&T on Thursday, April 10. He will give a lunch presentation at in Atlanta at the Four Seasons Hotel, 75 Fourteenth Street, and a dinner presentation at 6:30 p.m. at The University Center on Mercer’s Macon campus.

The Atlanta event is sponsored by the Center for Health and Learning, an educational partnership between Piedmont Healthcare and Mercer University.

Gingrich is one of the world’s most well known statesmen and a forward-thinking political leader. Chosen Time magazine’s Man of the Year, Gingrich has written 14 books including: Contract with America, Winning the Future Rediscovering God in America, and his latest, Real Change: Moving from the World that Fails to the World that Works.

One of the most prominent political leaders of the last quarter century, he was elected speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives in 1995. He is best known for his work as the chief architect of the Republican Contact with America, which lead to a balanced budget, welfare reform and the first tax cut in 16 years in 1997.

Since leaving office in 1999, Gingrich has become one of the most highly sought-after speakers.  Recognized internationally as an expert on world history, military issues and international affairs, Gingrich serves as a member of the Defense Policy Board. He is the longest-serving teacher of the Joint War Fighting course for major generals. He teaches officers from all five services as a distinguished visiting scholar and professor at the National Defense University. He is also an advisory board member of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies and he served as co-chair of the United Nations Task Force, a bi-partisan Congressional effort to reform the U.N. Gingrich is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, a distinguished visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University and a contributor to the Fox News Channel.
