ATLANTA — Mercer University’s Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics will hold an information session on July 24 for all its programs on the Atlanta campus. The free information session will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, in the Trustees Dining room of Mercer’s Atlanta campus, 3001 Mercer University Drive. The programs to be featured include the School’s new Master of Accountancy and joint Bachelor of Business Administration/ Master of Business Administration program, as well as the Executive MBA and Flexible MBA.
In addition to the program information available, prospective students will be able to meet the School of Business’s interim dean and the associate dean for Atlanta, as well as faculty and program directors for each program and admissions/financial aid representatives for the School.

The Stetson School of Business and Economics holds the highest level of accreditation available for business schools from AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
The Master of Accountancy can be completed in one year. The degree also links the successful undergraduate accounting program in Macon with Atlanta. The Master of Accountancy degree will be offered over one calendar year. The degree is a 10-course, 30-semester-hour program.
The combined BBA-MBA provides an accelerated route to completing both the degrees by allowing qualified BBA students who meet increased admission standards the opportunity for early admission to the MBA program. The combined degree requires 150 semester hours, down from 164 semester hours for the two degrees pursued separately. In the combined program, the BBA and MBA degrees are awarded concurrently at the end of the program, upon successful completion of all the program requirements.
The 16-month EMBA is designed for current and aspiring business managers who have a minimum of five years of professional work experience. Classes are held on Friday afternoon and all-day Saturday every third weekend, interspersed with online activities. Three retreats provide a concentrated study on specific business topics, including a 10-day international residency that immerses students in a different culture while studying with top executives of companies successfully competing in the global market.
The Flexible MBA is a self-paced program that provides adults with the flexibility to attain an advanced business degree without interrupting their careers. Classes are held one evening per week in eight-week sessions, allowing students to complete their degrees along a timeline they design.
