Season Tickets On Sale for 2009-2010 ‘That Old Broadway Magic’ at The Grand

MACON, Ga. – Season tickets are on sale now for the 2009-2010 Broadway Series, titled “That Old Broadway Magic,” at The Grand Opera House, a performing arts center of Mercer University. Featuring a six-show Broadway Series, the 2009 – 2010 season subscriptions can be purchased through Mercer Ticket Sales at (478) 301-5470 or online at The Grand’s Web site www.TheGrandMacon.com.

The Broadway Series includes the soaring aerialists, magic and music in “Cirque Dreams Illumination,” Sept. 27; a spirited tribute and live big band in “The Rat Pack is Back,” Oct. 22-23; one of history’s greatest love stories “Camelot,” Jan. 22-23; world Irish dance champions perform in Michael Flatley’s “Lord of the Dance,” March 3-4; Broadway’s biggest musical hits in Neil Berg’s “101 Years of Broadway,” April 15-16; and the hilarious new musical comedy and 2004 Tony Award winner “Avenue Q,” May 16-17.

Season subscribers receive discount tickets to the Broadway Series, priority seating and the exclusive opportunity to purchase advance, discount tickets to Season Specials not included in the Series before tickets go on sale to the public, among other benefits. The basic five-show subscription includes all productions except Avenue Q. Prices for a five-show series range from $185 to $205. A six-show subscription includes Avenue Q. Six-show subscriptions range from $222 to $246.

The Grand’s 2009 – 2010 Season Specials feature critically-acclaimed artists, exciting new shows and annual favorites, including “James Gregory,” Oct. 16; “To Kill a Mockingbird,” Oct. 29; “The Ten Tenors – Nostalgica,” Nov. 8; “John Berry – The Christmas Concert,” Nov. 22; “A Christmas Carol,” Dec. 18; “Caribbean Sound,” Jan. 26; “Moscow Festival Ballet’s The Sleeping Beauty,” Feb. 21; and “Defending The Caveman,” March 27. Tickets to these performances are currently available exclusively to Broadway Series subscribers.
