Mercer to Announce Headliner, Sporting Event at BearStock Launch Party

MACON — Mercer University’s campus activities board QuadWorks, will announce its headlining band for the BearStock Music Festival at a launch party at Mercer Village on Wednesday at 3 p.m. BearStock, the popular outdoor concert will take place on Saturday, April 16, in Tattnall Square Park. The free event is open to the public and moves off campus for the first time in its four-year history.

This year, the concert will feature 12 bands and be held in conjunction with a club sporting event, the Southeastern Collegiate Cycling Conference Championships. The two-day championships will include a criterium race that circles Tattnall Park at the beginning of the festival.
 
Organizers will announce the headliner and details of the two events at the launch event to a crowd of Mercer students and community members. Among the speakers will be representatives from Mercer Cycling, QuadWorks and College Hill Alliance.
