Political Analyst Juan Williams to Speak at Mercer’s Executive Forum

ATLANTA/MACON — Mercer University’s Executive Forum, presented by BB&T, will feature author, writer and FOX News political analyst Juan Williams on Feb. 21. He will speak to Executive Forum members and invited guests during a lunch presentation at the Capital City Club in Atlanta at noon and a dinner presentation at 6:30 p.m. in the Presidents Dining Room of the University Center on the University’s Macon campus.

In addition to his roles as a political writer and FOX News political analyst, Williams is a regular panelist on FOX Broadcasting’s Sunday morning public affairs program, “FOX News Sunday.” He is also a regular panelist on the weekday political newscast, “Special Report,” as well as a regular substitute host for “The O’Reilly Factor.” Prior to joining FOX News full-time, he worked with National Public Radio for more than 10 years, where he served as senior national correspondent and news analyst. He originally joined FOX News Channel in 1997 as a contributor.

Williams worked for The Washington Post for 23 years where he covered every major political campaign from 1980 to 2000 as a national correspondent and a political columnist. He has interviewed numerous U.S. presidents throughout his career, including Presidents Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

Additionally, Williams is the author of six books, including his non-fiction bestseller, Eyes on the Prize: America’s Civil Rights Years, 1954-1965, and Thurgood Marshall: American Revolutionary. He has written numerous articles and contributed to many national magazines such as Time, Fortune, The Atlantic Monthly, The New Republic and Ebony.

Throughout his career, Williams has received many awards and recognition for his writing and investigative journalism. He has won an Emmy Award for television documentary writing and has received recognition for his work on a series of documentaries, including “Politics: The New Black Power,” and “A. Phillip Randolph: For Jobs and Freedom.”
